Events & Fundraisers:

Mustard Seed Extreme Makeover! - An exciting project is underway to renovate the

Mustard Seed Food Bank building by a volunteer organization called Hero Work. The building is in disrepair and ill designed for the many services it provides (with no government funding). However, this project needs community support to get off the ground.  You can help by going to the Hero Work website.

Service Projects - Would you like to organize a service project to benefit the individuals and families at the Mustard Seed Food Bank but don't know where to start?  Seed Ladies can help with ideas, planning and implementation of your project, big or small.  Your group could be a family, a group of parents, children or friends, a church, school or business. There are many simple ways to bring people together for the common goal of helping those less fortunate in our community.  Contact us for more information.

Our annual Bunny Bags program to benefit children served by the Mustard Seed Food Bank is now complete!  Thank you Glen Lyon Norfolk students for all your hard work and fundraising efforts.  Thank you Providence Community Church, Crescendo for Hair and Emmanuel Preschool for your generous donations! Altogether we managed to create 160 Easter Bunny Bags.  That means 160 children whose lives are compromised by poverty will experience the magic of a visit from the Easter Bunny this year...

Our Mission

To raise awareness around the issues of poverty in our community and to support the Mustard Seed Food Bank, which assists families and individuals in need.

How We Do It

Seed Ladies is a small volunteer based organization.  We connect with the community and raise awareness by organizing fundraisers and gathering donations from other individuals and groups.  One hundred percent of what we collect is delivered directly to the Mustard Seed, where it is then used to assist individuals and families in need.
